GAME MANAGER | ENTABENI SAFARI CONSERVANCY

Entabeni Safari Conservancy, situated within the Waterberg UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, is seeking an experienced Game Manager to join the Reserve Management team. The Game Manager will report directly to the Reserve Manager.

Please note: This is a remote position, approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from the nearest town. Single accommodation is provided on the reserve.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the Reserve Management staff, security and anti-poaching teams.
• Plan and oversee roads, fences, dams, firebreaks and controlled burns.
• Implement problem animal, alien vegetation and bush encroachment control.
• Monitor fauna, flora and conservation activities.
• Maintain water systems, pumps, boreholes and solar installations.
• Oversee land rehabilitation, including erosion and river-line rehabilitation.
• Ensure guides adhere to reserve management rules.
• Manage vehicles, equipment, stock and asset registers.
• Complete weekly/monthly reports, timesheets, stock orders and general administration.
• Assist with conservation projects and Hospitality operations when required.

Requirements:
• Diploma in Nature Conservation, Game Ranch Management or Nature Management.
• 2–5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Anti-poaching experience required.
• Firearm competency certificate required.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and 4x4 driving experience.
• Knowledge of farm equipment, GPS and Google Earth.
• Computer literate and willing to work flexible hours in varying weather conditions.
• No criminal record (SAPS verification required).
